EAGLES’ LAGOON VIEW BANQUET HALL TITLES THE “BEST CULINARY ESTABLISHMENT 2023”
The culinary competition is a significant event that recognizes outstanding hotels, banquet halls and reception venues in various culinary categories such as cooking, pastry, baking, mocktails and carving.
A team of eight members from the "Eagles’ Lagoon View" Banquet Hall participated under the guidance of the Director General Logistics, Air Vice Marshal Nishantha Thilakasinghe in the Culinary Competition-2023 held on 15 and 16 September 2023 at the "Sahas Uyana" Kandy City Centre.
The team achieved remarkable success, earning a total of sixteen medals. These included one Excellent Gold medal, three Gold medals, six Silver medals, and six Bronze medals. Notably, Leading Aircraftman Wannigama DTJPW received an Excellent Gold Medal for the Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition, which is the highest honour awarded in this category.
Furthermore, "Eagles’ Lagoon View" Banquet Hall made history by winning the prestigious title of "Best Culinary Establishment 2023." This honour was achieved after competing with over fifty other hotels, banquet halls and reception venues in the championship. This historic achievement marks the first time that the SLAF Banquet Hall has earned this prestigious title.
