RADAR MAINTENANCE WING CELEBRATES 14TH ANNIVERSARY

The Radar Maintenance Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake celebrated its 14th anniversary today (20 September 2023). The Wing was established at SLAF Base Katunayake on 20 September 2009 and has since become the key maintenance organization for Radar systems in the National Air Defense Network of Sri Lanka.

In line with the Anniversary, customary Working Parade was conducted at the Wing premises and was reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain LAD Prasanna. Additionally, the Wing organized a Shramadana campaign and an almsgiving programme at the 'Methsuwa' Child Development Center in Katana. The Commanding Officer of the Radar Maintenance Wing, participated in the occasion along with the officers and all the staff of the Wing.

Sri Lanka Air Force, is the only aerial arm among the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, responsible for defending the nation's airspace and supporting its sister services for all kind of operations.
