DEFENCE SERVICES SHOOTING CHAMPIONSHIP 2023
The Defence Services Shooting Championship 2023 was conducted at SL Navy Shooting Range, Gamunu, Walisara from 19 September 2023 to 23 September 2023 and the award ceremony was held at 10m Air Gun Range, SL Navy Gamunu, Walisara.
SLAF Shooting team has demonstrated its unparalleled marksmanship prowess by securing the Men’s Championship title at the Defence Services Shooting Championship.
SLAF Men’s shooting team secured seven Gold, six Silver and three Bronze medals and managed to secure the Men’s Championship of Defence Services Shooting Championship 2023. SLAF Women's team secured three Gold, three Silver and one Bronze medals.
Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy Rear Admiral Pradeep Rathnayaka graced the occasion as the Chief guest and Chairman SLAF Shooting, Director General Ground Operation, Air Vice Marshal Waruna Gunawardana, Group Captain Uditha Piyasena, Secretary SLAF Shooting, Squadron Leader Manoj Wijewickrama attended for the Ceremony.
