FOUNDATION STONE LAYING CEREMONY OF GUWANPURA DAY CARE CENTRE ON WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY
A significant milestone was reached as the foundation stone for the Guwanpura Day Care Centre was ceremoniously laid today (01 October 2023) in line with World Children's Day. This momentous occasion was graced by the presence of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa and the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa.
The necessity for expansion and enhancement of the Day Care Centre at SLAF Station Colombo became evident due to the growing demand for its services. In response to this imperative need, plans were set in motion to relocate and upgrade the facility, thereby expanding its capacity, space and amenities to meet contemporary requirements.
The event unfolded amidst the blessings of the Venerable Maha Sanga and was attended by members of the Air Force Board of Management along with their spouses, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo and the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit.
