A WORKSHOP ON NUTRITION AND PREPARATION OF BAKERY-RELATED PRODUCTS AT SLAF TRADE TRAINING SCHOOL - EKALA
A workshop on ‘Nutrition and the Preparation of Bakery-Related Products’ was successfully conducted yesterday (09 October 2023) at the main auditorium at SLAF Trade Training School – Ekala. This event was executed under the guidance of the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Trade Training School – Ekala, Squadron Leader Prasanthika Gayani De Mel (Retd). Lady Officers, Airwomen and spouses of service personnel from Trade Training School- Ekala participated in the event.
The workshop consisted of two sessions. The inaugural session, titled "Preparation of Bakery-Related Products," was performed by the highly skilled Corporal Rajakaruna RMDE to foster creativity and elevate the expertise of SLAF personnel in the art of baking. This programme was designed to improve knowledge and provide hands-on experience, enabling the community to prepare delightful bakery products.
The second session, focused on ‘Nutrition,’ was conducted by Squadron Leader TSM Thilakarathna, a qualified nutritionist in the Sri Lanka Air Force. This session was designed to share knowledge and resources essential for making dietary decisions, thereby promoting a healthy life.
