SLAF ASSIST TO CONDUCT FIRE AND RESCUE DRILL AT THE LANKA HOSPITALS CORPORATION

The Fire and Rescue service of Sri Lanka Air Force has conducted a fire and rescue drill at the Lanka Hospitals Corporation Narahenpita, Colombo 05 today (24 October 2023.)

A total of 33 SLAF Firefighters have participated in the firefighting and rescue exercise with the supervision of SLAF Chief Fire Officer Group Captain WKASW Vithana. The exercise commander was Squadron Leader KJM Ranasinghe and the exercise coordinator was Squadron Leader BHMD Gunatilake.

The SLAF Fire fighters demonstrated several rescue tactics such as using rope rappelling and showed their firefighting and Breathing Apparatus response capabilities.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
