As a part of the SLAF 60th Anniversary Celebrations, the Directorate of Inspections & Safety at Air Force Headquarters organized a Flight Safety Poster Competition among the SLAF personnel, with the main objective of promoting and inculcating a sound safety culture in the SLAF working environs.

The winners of this competition received their cash prizes from the Commander of the Air Force at a brief ceremony held at the Air Force Headquarters today, 25 March 2011, at 0900 hrs. Director Inspection & Safety, Air Vice Marshal Tilak Dissanayake, too was present at the ceremony.





The winners are:

Flying Officer Dihan Perera of No. 7 Squadron Hingurakgoda.                     (1st Prize - Rs. 10,000/=)
Squadron Leader Kanchana Gunasekera of No. 2 Squadron Ratmalana.      (2nd Prize - Rs. 7,500/=)
Aircraftman Premakumara KGR of SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala.        (3rd Prize - Rs. 5,000/=)
