ANNUAL “PICHCHAMAL POOJA” DENOTES THE DAWN OF THE SLAF’S 73RD ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

The Sri Lanka Air Force, which is gearing up to celebrate its 73rd  anniversary as the "Guardians of the Skies" conducted the "Pichcha Mal Pooja" at Kelaniya Raja Maha Viharaya for the seventh consecutive time. The event was organized under the auspices of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa this evening (01 March 2024) by SLAF Headquarters Sri Jayewardenepura to invoke blessings for the SLAF personnel and the entire Air Force. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa also participated in the event.

Members of the Air Force Board of Management, along with their spouses, Base Commanders and Commanding Officers, a cross-section of officers and other ranks from Air Force Headquarters and other Air Force establishments participated in this event. The event marks the beginning of the series of events lined up in view of the SLAF anniversary celebrations.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
