SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT CONDUCTS FLOOD RELIEF EFFORT IN GAMPAHA AREA

Under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, the Seva Vanitha Unit, in collaboration with the Leisure and Recreational Wing of SLAF Base Katunayake, organized a special donation programme today (05 June 2024) in the flood-affected Gampaha area. Moreover, Dr. Sudath Rannulu, a well-wisher from the Royal College Old Boys’ East Coast Foundation, supported the Seva Vanitha Unit's Husma Plan by making a financial contribution to assist flood-affected families during their time of need.

During this event, more than 1,000 dinner packets and water bottles were distributed to families in the Ihalagama, Pahalagama, and Akarawita areas of the Gampaha District. The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, actively participated in this charitable endeavor. Further, the Secretary of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Squadron Leader Viludini Yatawara, along with the staff of the Seva Vanitha Unit, airmen and airwomen, contributed significantly to this effort.
