SLAF STATION SRI JAYEWARDENEPURA SEVA VANITHA UNIT HOSTS LECTURE ON HEALTHY LIVING AND DISEASE PREVENTION

The Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte organized an insightful lecture for lady officers, airwomen and civil staff today (21 August 2024) held at the AFHQ Auditorium. The lecture was conducted by Dr. Erangi Weerasekara De Silva, a distinguished Family Physician with extensive expertise in public health, family medicine, nutrition, program planning, health management and psychiatry.

The programme aimed to provide valuable knowledge on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, focusing on the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases through proper nutrition and physical activity. The lecture sought to enhance participants' understanding and awareness of leading a healthy lifestyle while balancing professional responsibilities.

The event was graced by the presence of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, Air Commodore Ruwan Chandima, along with the Officer in Charge of the Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, Wing Commander Harshani Katugampola  and other staff members of the unit. The lecture was attended by over 60 personnel, including lady officers, airwomen and civil staff from SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte.
