The Change of Command of SLAF Station Palaly took place today (30 September 2024). The Traditional handing over and taking over parade was conducted at the Station Hangar premises due to wet weather condition. The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain HMC Herath RSP, MHRM, Pg Dip (Def Mgt) handed over the command to Group Captain WMA Kumarasiri RSP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), MA (IR), MRDP, psc.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain HMC Herath expressed his gratitude to all service and civil personnel for the support they extended during his tenure as the Commanding Officer.

The incoming Commanding Officer, Group Captain WMA Kumarasiri previously executed his duties as the Officer Commanding of SLAF Detachment Baththaramulla before being appointed as the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Palaly.
