A GUWAN MITHUDAM PROJECT CONCLUDES AT MABIMA VIDYAKARA MAHA VIDYALAYA, MAKEWITA
A ‘Guwan Mithudam' project was successfully completed today (21 October 2024) at Mabima Vidyakara Maha Vidyalaya, Makewita by the SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala, under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa.
Approximately 300 students are studying in this school, where a drinking water system was installed in view of addressing the much-felt need of drinking water for their consumption and to support the requirements of the playground area. This project was initiated in August 2024 by the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala, Squadron Leader Prasanthika Gayani De Mel (Retd). Upon completion, it was officially handed over to the students by the Commanding Officer, SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala, Air Commodore Uditha Piyasena.
The project was jointly funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala. The handing over ceremony was attended by the Officer-in-Charge of the Seva Vanitha Unit, along with officers and a cross - section of other rankers at the Trade Training School, as well as the Principal, teachers and students of the school.
