A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to the family of Leading Aircraftman Ranasinghe RDTL (Deceased) on 25 October 2024 and the housewarming ceremony was held at Ruwansaliya Road, Pallama. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Chandana Geethapriya and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi, Group Captain Prabath Alexander.

The event was attended by the Director Internal & Public Welfare at the Directorate of Welfare, Air Commodore Sulochana Marapperuma, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi, President Seva Vanitha of SLAF Station Palavi, Mrs. Priyadarshani Kumari, the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other rankers of SLAF Station Palavi.
