AUSTRALIAN OFFICIALS COMPLETE LEGAL TRANSFER OF BEECHCRAFT KING AIR 350 TO SRI LANKA AIR FORCE

The officials from Australia visited Air Force Headquarters today (29 October 2024) to formally complete the legal proceedings for the handing over of the Beechcraft King Air 350 aircraft to the Sri Lanka Air Force. The signing of the legal documents was conducted between the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa and the senior representative of the Australian delegation.

The Australian delegation included the Assistant Secretary for Regional Processing, Ms. Shan Strugnell, the Director of the Regional Processing Task Force, Ms. Jodie Lewis, the First Secretary and Australian Border Force Coordinator, Ms. Lalitha Kapur  and two other members. They were accompanied by the Australian Defence Advisor, Colonel Amanda Johnston.

Representing the Sri Lanka Air Force the occasion was attended by Chief of Staff, members of the Board of Management along with other senior officials.

Sri Lanka Air Force, is the only aerial arm among the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, responsible for defending the nation's airspace and supporting its sister services for all kind of operations.
