The SLAF Station Palavi successfully concluded a ‘Guwan Mithudam’ Community Service Project on 23 December 2024 at the Pu/Ana/Wadaththa Primary School in Kottukachchiya. This initiative was carried out under the guidance of the Chairperson  the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa.

The Wadaththa Primary School, which accommodates approximately 150 students, faced significant challenges due to an inadequate water supply for its sanitary facilities, a deteriorated library, and an uninhabitable teachers’ hostel. The project aimed to address these shortcomings and enhance the overall learning environment for both students and staff.

Under the leadership of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi, Group Captain PS Alexander and the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit of Station Palavi, Mrs. JMPK Jayasundara, the project was successfully executed. The coordination and supervision of the efforts were undertaken by Wing Commander PS Pushpakumara, ensuring the initiative's timely and effective completion.
