SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT CONTRIBUTES TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF ELPITIYA BASE HOSPITAL DISPENSARY
The Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksha accompanied by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Katukurunda, Group Captain Manjula Abeywickrama, participated in the ceremonial opening of the newly constructed Dispensary of the Outpatient Department of the Base Hospital Elpitiya for public ownership today (04 January 2025).
The ceremonial proceedings commenced with the unveiling of the commemorative plaque by the chief guest, following the completion of religious observances. The event was graced by the presence of Deputy Minister of Vocational Education, Mr. Nalin Hewage, Parliament Minister, Mr. Nishantha Perera, members of the hospital's medical staff and the general public.
Under the guidance of the Chairperson of the Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, SLAF Station Katukurunda provided essential manpower for the construction of the dispensary. This initiative was made possible through the generous contribution of Mr. UKD Leelananda, reflecting a collaborative effort to enhance healthcare services for the public.
