The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, made his official call on the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha  (Retd), at his Office today (30 January 2025).

This courtesy call marked the first formal meeting between the Commander and the Secretary since Air Marshal Edirisinghe assumed his role as the 20th Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force. During the ensuing cordial discussion, the Secretary extended his well wishes to Air Marshal Edirisinghe on his new appointment. The Commander presented the Secretary with a commemorative token to mark the occasion.
