The Change of Command of No. 3 Leisure & Recreation Wing SLAF Base Katunayake held today (07 March 2025). The traditional handing over/ taking over parade was conducted at the Banquet Hall premises where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain HKH Dias  MSc (Def & Strat Stu), Pg Dip (Def Mgt), Pg Dip (HRM), psc handed over the command to Group Captain ERD De Z Abeysekara MSc (Def & Strat Stu), BSc (Def & Stu) in Mgt, Pg Dip (Def Mgt), psc.

The outgoing Commanding Officer, Group Captain HKH Dias will be proceeding to Air Force Headquarters to take over the duties as the Staff Officer Admin to Chief of Staff.
 
The new Commanding Officer, Group Captain Abeysekara previously held the appointment as the Staff Officer Personnel I at the Directorate of Administration before being appointed as the Commanding Officer of No. 3 L&R Wing SLAF Base Katunayake.
