The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, commenced the Annual Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Station Palaly today (12 March 2025).

The Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palaly, Group Captain Ananda Kumarasiri, welcomed the Commander upon his arrival and a Guard of Honour was conferred. Certificate of Commendation were awarded for following airman for meritorious contribution to the Station.

During the course of inspection the Commander visited all areas of the Station and joined a cross-section of officers, airmen, airwomen and civilian staff at the Airmen's Mess during customary All-Ranks Lunch.

Concluding the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks and civilian employees of the Station, expressing profound gratitude for their significant contributions to maintaining the Station at exceptionally high standards and emphasized the need to contribute their best to the Air Force as well as to the motherland at all times.
