NO 2 MTR&OW AT SLAF BASE VAVUNIYA CELEBRATES 11TH ANNIVERSARY

No.02 Mechanical Transport Repair and
Overhaul Wing(MTR&OW), SLAF Base Vavuniya proudly commemorated
its 11th anniversary on 27 April 2025. To mark the occasion, a religious
programme was held at scared Ruwanwelimahaseya Anuradhapura, while two
community service projects were under taken on 26 April 2025.
As part of community outreach, cleaning and landscaping project was carried at the ‘Isipathana Subodha Meheni Aranyaya’, Boraluhinna. Additionally, a floor renovation project was completed, where a mud floor was replaced with a concrete floor for a low income family with the dedicated efforts and contributions of all the members in the wing.
Furthermore, the customary working parade was held on 27 April 2024 and reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain GGSK Guruge. The celebrations were concluded with a spirited traditional Elle match enthusiastically participated by all members of the wing.
