The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, SLAF Base Katunayake conducted a blood donation campaign yesterday (11 May 2025) at Katunayake Maha Vidyalaya in collaboration with the General Hospital Negombo. This campaign was conducted under the guidance of president SVU, SLAF Base KAT Mrs. Sonali Nanayakkara.

The main aim of this campaign was to donate blood for National Blood Transfusion Service due to heavy demand of blood products for the children who suffer from thalassemia.

The Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore Asela Jayasekera, Lady Officers and non other rankers participated for the event.
