Attributing to the cultural background of the country and sessional opportunity to donate selflessly in the Month of Vesak celebration, SLAF Hospital Katunayake opened up an opportunity for the willful donners in Sri Lanka Air Force and their families to connect with the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society to register them for eye and tissue donation.

Eye Donation campaign was conducted at SLAF Hospital Katunayake yesterday (15 May 2025) under the guidance of Commanding Officer, Group Captain HPAS Hewawasam. Event was facilitated by the resources personnel representing Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society and graced by the board of management of the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society including Chairman of the Society, Mr. Sampath De Silva, Senior Manager of Human Tissue Bank, Mr. WOH De Mel, Senior Manager of international eye Bank, Mr. JS Mathara Arachchi. Event was concluded successfully achieving numerous registrations.
