
SLAF STATION WEERAWILA CELEBRATES 47TH ANNIVERSARY

The SLAF Station at Weerawila marked its 47th anniversary yesterday (01 June 2025), with a series of meaningful events. The celebrations commenced with the customary working parade which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain WMNN Wanasinghe. A tree planting project and recreational activities were organized following the parade.
In line with the 47th anniversary, several community-oriented initiatives were conducted. On 29 May 2025, Station Seva Vanitha Unit arranged Cleaning Projects and Shramadana Campaigns at Weheragala temple and Sandungama temple. Furthermore, a renovation project was carried out to repair two Bus Stops in front of the SLAF Station Weerawila on 31 May 2025 with the participation of service personnel.
