A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to the family of Warrant Officer KGCJ Hemapala today (05 June 2025) and the housewarming ceremony was held at Vidhanagedara, Matara . The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit funded this project, while the construction work was undertaken by the dedicated staff of the Civil Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake. This project was executed under the guidance of the Acting Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Vajira Senadheera and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Koggala, Group Captain Priyadarshana Hettiarachchi.

The event was attended by the Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardena, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Koggala, Secretary Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Lilangi Randeni, the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and a cross-section of officers and other rankers of SLAF Station Koggala.

The Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Unit extended her greetings to all the Civil Engineering staff thanking their dedication and active contribution for the construction of the house.
