CHANGE OF COMMAND OF THE AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL WING SLAF BASE KATUNAYAKE
The Change of Command at the Aircraft Overhaul Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake was held today (06 June 2025).
The traditional handing over/taking over parade took place at the wing premises, where Air Commodore WADC Wijesinghe, USP, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), BSc (Def Stu), AMIE (SL), A Eng, psc, officially handed over command to Group Captain MS Kumarage, USP, BSc (Def Stu).
Group Captain MS Kumarage previously served as the Director of Aircraft Ground Support and Armament at Air Force Headquarters. Air Commodore WADC Wijesinghe has assumed duties as the Commanding Officer of the Aircraft Engineering Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake.
