The Culinary Art Food Expo (CAFE 2025), organized by the Chefs Guild of Lanka in collaboration with the World Association of Chefs Societies and CDC Events and Travels (Pvt) Ltd, returned for its 22nd consecutive edition from 13 to 15 June 2025 at the BMICH, Colombo. This premier event brought together leading professionals from the food, beverage and hospitality industries, with over 3,000 chefs from Sri Lanka and around the globe competing in categories such as cocktail and mocktail preparation, live cooking, live desserts, ice carving and vegetable carving.

The SLAF participated with 115 competitors under the guidance of the Director General Logistics, Air Vice Marshal Gladvin Athapaththu, achieving an impressive haul of 69 medals, including four Gold, 33 Silver and 32 Bronze. The team was organized by the SLAF Hospitality Management School, Sigiriya. On 14 June 2025, the Commander of the Air Force attended the event under a special invitation, where he visited the competition venues, observed the culinary displays and innovations displayed by the SLAF participants.

In recognition of this outstanding achievement, a special felicitation was held yesterday (17 June 2025) at Air Force Headquarters. During the event, the Commander congratulated the medal-winning team members and commended their hard work.
