SLAF FALLEN WAR HEROES HONOURED AT THE WAR HEROES MONUMENT SLAF TRADE TRAINING SCHOOL, EKALA

The SLAF’s Fallen War Heroes Commemoration Ceremony 2025 was held today (19 June 2025) under the guidance of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, at the Sri Lanka Air Force War Heroes Monument, SLAF Trade Training School Ekala.

This is one of the premier events in SLAF’s calendar that has been planned annually and this year’s event was organized under the supervision of Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardene and overall coordinated by Commanding Officer SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Air Commodore Kolitha Abeysinghe.

The Commander of the Air Force offered the first floral tribute at the memorial in memory of the supreme sacrifice made by the SLAF patriots. The event was attended by the Chief of Staff, Members of the Air Force Board of Management, Commanding Officer SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Senior Officers, Command Master Warrant Officer, other ranks and most importantly, beloved family members of fallen war heroes who followed suit. 

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
