SLAF Station Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) successfully concluded the 'Guwan Mithudam' community service project today (23 June 2025) at Lakshmi Primary School, Walana, Katunayake. The primary objective of the project was to provide access to clean drinking water for the students and staff of the school.

The initiative was carried out under the supervision and coordination of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station BIA, Group Captain Nilendra Perera and the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Station BIA, Mrs. Hansika Perera. The project was successfully completed and officially handed over to the school in a ceremonial event.

The handing-over ceremony was attended by members of the Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Station BIA, along with the students and staff of the school.
