Bank of Ceylon ceremoniously inaugurated its new Limited Service Branch at the Defence Headquarters Complex, Akuregoda, yesterday (25 June 2025). The opening ceremony was graced by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe along with the Chairman of Bank of Ceylon, Mr. Kavinda De Zoysa and Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera.

This new branch, affiliated with the Pelawatta Branch, is located within the Air Force Amenities Complex at the Defence Headquarters in Akuregoda. It is established with the aim of enhancing banking convenience and accessibility for military personnel and staff at the Defence Headquarters, while also extending its services to the broader civilian community in the surrounding area.
