The 'Guwan Mithudam' Community Service project concluded successfully yesterday (28 June 2025), at Mahakanadarawa Dharmapala Vidyalaya and Siri Devamithra Primary Vidyalaya, by the SLAF Base Anuradhapura. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The fully constructed class room building (20X20) and fully constructed pavilion were handed over to the Principals of Mahakanadarawa Dharmapala Vidyalaya and Siri Devamiththa Primary School by the Chief Guest.
 
The projects were supervised by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Air Commodore Poojana Gunathilake and coordinated by the Officer in Charge of the Base Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Chathuri Dilhani. Both projects were initiated with the generous funding provided by a team of professionals known as the Doni (දෝණි) Association. The manpower required for the implementation of the projects was provided by the SLAF.

The event was attended by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Secretary Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Lilangi Randeni, Officer in charge of the Base Anuradhapura Seva Vanitha Unit, the staff of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, cross-section of officers and other rankers of SLAF Base Anuradhapura and representatives from the schools, including the Principals, teachers, parents and students.
