The finals of the Inter Unit Netball Championship 2025 were held today (04 July 2025) at the SLAF Health Management Centre, Colombo. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, graced the finals and awards ceremony as the Chief Guest. Also present were the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Jayewardenepura, Mrs. Muzeen Noor, Chairperson of the SLAF Netball Pool, Air Commodore Sureka Dias, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, Air Commodore Buddhika Piyasiri, Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Air Commodore Kolitha Abeysinghe and members of the Air Force Sports Council, who witnessed the thrilling finals.

SLAF Trade Training School Ekala clinched the Inter Unit Netball Championship 2025, defeating SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura by 18–11 in the finals. Sergeant Samaraweera BGCP from SLAF Trade Training School Ekala was adjudged Best Shooter, while Aircraftwoman Perera ULSNS, also from SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, was named Best Defender. Corporal Samanmali P.K. from SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura was recognized as the Best Centre Court Player.

Aircraftwoman Gamage GGPNM of  SLAF Trade Training School Ekala was crowned the ‘Netball Queen' of the Inter Unit Netball Championship 2025.
