SEVA VANITHA UNIT UPLIFTS RATHNA PRIMARY SCHOOL
Under the inspiring theme ‘Guwan Mithudam', the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Air Force proudly inaugurated a newly constructed music room for the students of Rathna Primary School Athurugiriya today (15 July 2025). This initiative represents a harmonious blend of service, support and social responsibility, aimed at enriching the educational experience of young learners.
The chief guest for the occasion was the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, whose presence brought warmth and encouragement to the event.
The project was fully funded and supervised by the Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit and the labour assistance was extended by SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Buddhika Piyasiri. Coordination efforts were efficiently led by Group Captain Harshani Katugampala, Officer in Charge of the Station Seva Vanitha Unit.

The handing-over ceremony, adding further value to the day, the Station Seva Vanitha Unit organized a generous book donation comprising 300 storybooks to enrich the school library and 100 stationery bundles for selected students, empowering them with resources for academic excellence.
Officials representing both the Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura graced the event with their presence.
