SEVA VANITHA UNIT LAUNCHES NEW PHASE OF 'SKILL WINGS' VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME IN PARTNERSHIP WITH NAITA
Another phase of the “Skill Wings” Vocational Training Programme, organized by the Seva Vanitha Unit, commenced today (21 July 2025) at Air Force Headquarters, in collaboration with the National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA).
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Chairman of NAITA, Mr. H Abdul Saththar, along with the Vice Chairman, Director of Planning and Monitoring, Director of Training, Assistant Director, Colombo Regional Manager, Training Officers and Instructors of the Authority.
The initial courses offered under this phase include Beauty Culture and Cake Decorating. These courses are provided free of charge by the Seva Vanitha Unit. Theoretical sessions will be conducted virtually, while practical training will take place at Clippers Salon, Guwanpura and Eagle’s Lakeside Banquet & Convention Hall, Attidiya.
The occasion was further dignified by the presence of the Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, Secretary of the Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Lilangi Randeni, officers serving at the Seva Vanitha Unit and personnel who intend to participate in the Vocational Training Programme.
