MEMBERSHIP BADGES AWARDED TO NEWLY ENLISTED AIR SCOUTS
Membership badges were ceremoniously awarded to seventeen newly enlisted Air Scouts on 26 July 2025 at the SLAF Trade Training School (TTS) in Ekala. The event was graced by the presence of the Commanding Officer of SLAF TTS Ekala, Air Commodore Kolitha Abeysinghe, who attended as the Chief Guest.
The occasion was further dignified by the presence of several distinguished guests, including District Commissioner of Wattala, Mr. Duminda Senevirathne, Assistant District Commissioners, Mr. Manoj Silva and Mr. Chaminda Hewage, Principal of Yatiyana Maha Vidyalaya, Mrs. Kamani, Vice Principal of Jayanthi Vidyalaya, Ja-Ela, Mr. LNS Kumara and the Group Scout Master, all participating under the guidance of Air Commodore Sulochana Marapperuma. Also in attendance was Assistant Chairman of the SLAF Air Scout Group, Air Commodore ES Ponnamperuma.
In his address to the gathering, Air Commodore Abeysinghe commended the outstanding progress of the SLAF Air Scout Group. He extended his congratulations to the newly enlisted Air Scouts and conveyed his best wishes for their continued success and future endeavours.
