SLAF HOLDS ANNUAL ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS CEREMONY TO HONOUR FALLEN HEROES
The Annual Islamic Religious Ceremony of the SLAF was held this morning, (30 July 2025) at the Kollupitiya Jummah Mosque. The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, attended the event as the Chief Guest, accompanied by the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe.
The ceremony was organized by the Directorate of Welfare and carefully coordinated by SLAF Base Ratmalana.
During the proceedings, the officiating Mowlavi offered prayers and invoked the blessings of Almighty Allah for the souls of the brave Air Force personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the nation. Prayers were also offered for the continued well-being and protection of all ranks currently serving in the Sri Lanka Air Force.
Among those present were the Chief of Staff, members of the Air Force Board of Management, senior officers, a cross-section of other ranks and the beloved family members of fallen war heroes.
