INTER UNIT BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP 2025
The Inter Unit Badminton Championship 2025 was held at the Health Management Centre (HMC), Thummulla, from 28 July to 30 July 2025. The final matches and the Awards Ceremony took place at the same venue yesterday (30 July 2025).
SLAF Base Ratmalana emerged as the Champions of the Inter Unit Badminton Championship, while SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura secured the position of Runners-up. The award for Best Player in the Men’s category was presented to Officer Cadet GGCK Dissanayake, while Squadron Leader Nadeeka Weerasooriya was recognized as the Best Player in the Women’s category.
The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of SLAF Badminton, Air Commodore Poojana Gunathilake, Deputy Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, Group Captain Chamila Manathunga, Secretary of the Air Force Sports Council, Group Captain Eranda Geeganage along with senior officers and other distinguished invitees.

The event was graced by the Director General Construction Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Vajira Seenadheera, who attended as the Chief Guest.
