An awareness lecture on ‘Domestic Violence and Child Safety’ was organized by the Welfare Committee of SLAF Station Mirigama on 05 August 2025. The event was held under the directives of the Director General Welfare, Air Vice Marshal Rajinth Jayawardene and under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Mirigama, Group Captain MHMTCK Bandara.

The lecture was conducted by a Public Health Inspector, Mr. Chanaka Muthugala. He is also an experienced lecturer in Attitude Development.

The primary objective of the session was to raise awareness among both service personnel and civil staff on identifying, preventing, and appropriately responding to incidents of domestic violence and issues related to child safety.
