INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE CALLS ON THE COMMANDER OF THE AIR FORCE
The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Priyantha Weerasooriya called on the Commander of Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe this morning (25 August 2025).
Inspector General of Police was received by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura, Air Commodore Buddika Piyasiri and the Guard of Honour was conferred by the No. 43 Colour Wing of the SLAF.

Inspector General of Police met with the Deputy Chief of Staff and the members of the Air Force Board of Management.
Following the customary proceedings, Air Marshal Edirisinghe and IGP Weerasooriya had cordial discussions and Commander of the Air Force congratulated Mr. Priyantha Weerasooriya on his appointment as the 37th Inspector General of Police. Subsequently, the official plaques were exchanged between the Commander of the Air Force and Inspector General of Police at the Commander’s Office.
