An educational programme on aviation was conducted at SLAF Station Iranamadu yesterday (01 September 2025) for the students of Alagapuri Primary School. The programme, organized under the patronage of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Jayerathne Amarasinghe, aimed to inspire students’ enthusiasm for aviation.

Seventy seven students, along with their Principal and teachers, visited the Station premises. During the visit, the children were given the opportunity to observe a Bell 212 Helicopter and participate in a simple briefing on basic aviation concepts. 

This initiative provided the students of this remote area with a rare and valuable educational exposure to aviation at a young age.
