The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, accompanied by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Weerawila, Group Captain Nalaka Wanasinghe participated in the ceremonial opening of the newly established Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Treatment Plant yesterday (02 September 2025) at Thissapura Kanishta Vidyalaya, Weerawila. Reading books were also donated to deserved schoolchildren as part of an educational upliftment initiative during the ceremony.

This noble initiative, carried out under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, was made possible with the dedicated support of SLAF Station Weerawila. The generous donation was made by the family members of the late Mr. Isuru Senarathne, in a collaborative effort to enhance educational facilities for schoolchildren.
