ANNUAL COMMANDER’S INSPECTION AT SLAF STATION PIDURUTALAGALA
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisingh, conducted the Annual Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Station Pidurutalagala today (19 September 2025). The Commander was welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Nalin Wewakumbura and was accorded a street line on his arrival.
During the course of the inspection, the Commander visited all areas of the Station including Station Headquarters, No. 07 Air Defence Radar Squadron, Power House, Armoury, 302 Regt Squadron, Equipment Section, Electronics Section, MT Section, Airmen’s Mess, SNCO’s Mess, Airmen’s social club, Welfare Shop, MI Room and Sports Section.
Following the inspection, the Commander addressed the officers, other rankers and civilian personnel of the Station, commending their dedication and professionalism, while encouraging them to continue their commitment towards reaching greater standards of excellence.
