RADAR MAINTENANCE WING AT SLAF BASE KATUNAYAKE CELEBRATES 16TH ANNIVERSARY
The Radar Maintenance Wing (RMW) at SLAF Base Katunayake established on 20th September 2009, proudly celebrated its 16th Anniversary today (20 September 2025). The Wing has grown into the central maintenance agency for Radar systems within Sri Lanka’s National Air Defence Network.
To mark the occasion, a customary Anniversary Day Working Parade was held at the Wing premises, reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain GHSD Amarabandu.
In conjunction with the celebrations, the Wing organized a Shramadana campaign and an Almsgiving programme at the ‘Mahosu’ Child Development Centre, Minuwangoda. The event was attended by the Commanding Officer, Officers ad all staff of the Radar Maintenance Wing.
