NEW CLASSROOM CONSTRUCTED AT PUNAVITIYA VIDYALAYA UNDER ‘GUWAN MITHUDAM’ PROJECT

A ‘Guwan Mithudam’ project at Punavitiya Vidyalaya was successfully completed by SLAF Station Palavi under the guidance of the Chairperson SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe.

The project involved the construction of a new classroom, which has been completed up to the foundation level, with the objective of creating a more conducive learning environment and enhancing the overall quality of education. Punavitiya Vidyalaya currently accommodates approximately 120 students and its existing classrooms had deteriorated due to prolonged use.

The initiative was executed under the supervision of the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Station Palavi, Mrs. ST Dias and with the guidance of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi, Air Commodore GSN Priyadarshana.

Financial assistance for the project was provided by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, while the Directorate of Construction Engineering extended labor support.

The handing-over ceremony was graced by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palavi, along with officers, other ranks and members of the school community, including the Principal, teachers, parents and students.
