SLAF STATION MORAWEWA COMPLETES ‘GUWAN MITHUDAM’ PROJECT AT MAHADIWULWEWA NATIONAL SCHOOL
The SLAF Station Morawewa successfully completed a ‘Guwan Mithudam’ community development project at Mahadiwulwewa National School, Morawewa, yesterday (22 October 2025). As part of this initiative, two classrooms were fully renovated with the objective of enhancing the quality of the learning environment for the students.
The project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit under the guidance and direction of its Chairperson, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe. The initiative was conducted under the leadership and supervision of the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Morawewa, Group Captain Prabath Alexander.
The successful completion of the project was made possible through the dedication and teamwork of SLAF personnel, led by Officer-in-Charge of the Station Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Romesh Bestian and the Station Works Engineer, Squadron Leader Kumarasiri,. Their committed efforts, together with the support of the station troops, ensured that the classrooms were renovated to a standard conducive to modern education.
