WOMEN’S WING OF SLAF HOSTS ANNUAL CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTING MENTAL HEALTH AND GROOMING
The annual conference organized by the Women’s Wing of the SLAF was held today (04 November 2025) at Air Force Headquarters. The event placed special emphasis on personal development and well-being, featuring two insightful sessions conducted by distinguished resource personnel.
The first session was conducted by Mrs. Anjali Budawatta Jayawardana, a renowned counselling psychologist and author, on the theme ‘Mental Health Awareness and Relationships.’ Her lecture highlighted the importance of emotional balance, self-awareness, and nurturing positive interpersonal relationships in both professional and personal life.
The second session, which followed, was an engaging grooming workshop conducted by Mrs. Nilakshi Nagahamulla, a professional hairdresser and beautician. She provided valuable guidance on personal grooming, presentation and confidence building, inspiring participants to maintain a professional and graceful appearance as members of the Air Force.
The conference was chaired by the Commanding Officer of the Air Force Women’s Wing, Air Commodore Subash Jayathilaka. More than 150 Lady Officers and Airwomen representing all SLAF establishments participated in this inspiring event, which served as a valuable platform for empowerment and personal enhancement.
