EAGLES’ CATALINA MONTHLY MEDAL GOLF NOVEMBER EDITION CONCLUDES WITH OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCES
The fifth iteration of the Eagles’ Catalina Monthly Medal Golf Tournament, concluded successfully yesterday (08 November 2025) at the Eagles’ Catalina Golf Course in Koggala. This prestigious event, which has quickly established itself as a highlight in Sri Lanka’s golfing calendar, attracted many participants competing for top honours.
The tournament saw exceptional performances across both Ladies' and Gents' divisions. Mrs. Manori Jayakody and Mr. Gayashan Wijayasinghe secured awards for the Longest Drive in their respective categories.
In the Gross Score competition, Mrs. Manori Jayakody was named Runner-Up in the Women’s category, while Mr. Peter Toremalm earned the same in the Men’s division. In the Net Score competition, Mrs. Manori Jayakody and Air Commodore Erandika Gunawardena were the Runners-Up in the Women’s and Men’s categories, respectively.
Mrs. Hui Bandaranayake and Group Captain Prabath Wijekoon succeeded in the Gross Score category for the Ladies’ and Gents’ divisions. The coveted Eagles’ Catalina Monthly Medal for November was awarded to Mrs. Hui Bandaranayake in the Women’s division and Mr. Gayashan Wijayasinghe in the Men’s division, both securing the Winner Net Score titles.
The awards were presented during a ceremony in the afternoon, attended by Air Chief Marshal Kapila Jayampathi (Retd), Chairman Air Force Golf, Air Commodore Erandika Gunawaradena, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Koggala, Group Captain Priyadarshana Hettiarachchi and other SLAF officials.
