SLAF AIR SCOUTS SHINE AT THE 60TH COLOMBO SCOUTS CAMPOREE
The 60th Colombo Scouts Camporee, organized by the Colombo District Scouts Association, was held at Viharamahadevi Park, Colombo 05, from 05 to 10 November 2025, with the participation of more than 2,500 Scouts from the Colombo District.
A contingent of 36 Air Scouts, comprising 25 Boy Scouts and 11 Girl Scouts, represented the SLAF at this annual event. The contingent demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, winning the ‘Best Campsite Award’ for three consecutive days and the ‘Best Campfire Performance Award’, showcasing their talents and enthusiasm throughout the Camporee.
The SLAF Air Scout contingent was led by the Chairman of the Air Scout Troop, Group Captain Paminda Jayawardana, and the Deputy Chairman, Air Commodore Sujeewa Ponnamperuma, along with other Air Scout leaders of the SLAF Air Scouts Troop.
