SLAF HOSPITAL RATMALANA CELEBRATES 16TH ANNIVERSARY
The SLAF Hospital Ratmalana proudly celebrated its 16th anniversary today (11 November 2025). The formation day celebrations commenced with the customary working parade, reviewed by the Acting Commanding Officer, Wing Commander Himali Mendis.
In conjunction with the anniversary celebrations, a community health and welfare programme was conducted at the Agnes Gunasekera Memorial Home for Elders, Ratmalana, on 10 and 11 November 2025. The medical outreach programme was carried out with the support of Dr. AGS Darshani, Consultant Geriatrician of Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Group Captain A Jayasekara, Consultant Ophthalmologist of SLAF and the staff of SLAF Hospital Ratmalana.
Further, the hospital staff undertook a cleaning and fogging campaign at the elders’ home premises to ensure a hygienic environment and prevent vector-borne diseases. A special lunch was also organized and served to all residents of the home.
