The SLAF Base Hingurakgoda celebrated its 47th Anniversary 23 November 2025, with celebratory events being held on 26 November 2025. A series of events, including community service projects and recreational activities were organized under the guidance of the Base Commander SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, Group Captain Sanoj Jayaratne together with all officers, other ranks and the civilian staff.

The day’s celebrations commenced with the customary working parade followed by multi religious ceremony and Cricket Tournament was held at the Base playground. Furthermore, the celebration concluded with an all-ranks lunch which was participated by both service and civilian personnel of the Base.

In line with the anniversary, several community service projects were undertaken, such as a blood donation campaign in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Teaching Hospital Polonnaruwa, a Shramadana campaign at the Minihiri Kantha Surekum Centre in Hingurakgoda.
