AROGYA MAITRI BHISHM CUBE PROVIDES CRITICAL MEDICAL SUPPORT IN FLOOD-AFFECTED AREAS
The Aarogya Maitri BHISHM Cube, which was deployed yesterday (02 December 2025), has become a vital medical lifeline for communities in the flood-affected areas of Ja-Ela and Seeduwa. This humanitarian effort is jointly conducted by the SLAF Medical and the visiting Indian medical contingent.
Following its deployment, the medical team commenced operations yesterday at Ja-Ela, where an open community space was rapidly converted into a fully functional medical centre equipped with multiple OPD services, a laboratory, X-ray facility and a minor operating theatre. Today (03 December 2025), the team continued its mission in Seeduwa, ensuring uninterrupted healthcare support for residents who are experiencing limited access to routine medical services the Cyclone Ditwah disaster situation
The patients have received timely care, ranging from trauma-related minor injuries to essential outpatient consultations. This ongoing initiative will continue in the coming days as the medical teams extend their services to communities affected by the disaster, ensuring uninterrupted access to critical healthcare support.
